Honeycomb

PREPARATION AND COOKING TIME:
YIELD:

Boil to 300°F (10-15 mins) in tall pot:

  • 2 cups of sugar;
  • 1/2 stick of butter;
  • 2 cups of water or corn syrup;

Remove from heat and quickly stir in:

  • 2 tblsp vinegar or add 2 tsp cream of tartar;
  • 1 tbsp baking soda / bicarbonate of soda dissolved in a small amount of water;

Pour onto greased baking tray to cool until firm;
Do not refrigerate.

  • Dip pieces of honeycomb in sweetened carob or melted chocolate
